What I used to think ‘fitness’ was 👇🏻 It was about dedicating myself to a strict regime so I could build a business based on looking ‘fit’ It was about being ‘that girl’ who gets up early, does fasted cardio, eats clean, trains hard and works late. Goes out, but only on big occasions and made sure I stuck to the low calorie drinks Vodka and soda water with fresh lime 🤦🏼‍♀️ I did this for years and the result was... I had a 6 pack and a business based on getting shredded... and I was fucking miserable I did this because that’s what I was ‘told’ fitness was. But it’s not! Fitness is about finding a way to make feeling healthy, energetic and strong, fit your current lifestyle. Eat food because you love it, train because it makes you feel good and spend time with your friends/family because it’s essential for your mental health. If you can’t stick to your training and nutrition plan (no matter what it is) for more than 6 weeks It’s not for you! I found that lifting weights, walking 10k steps 6 days a week and taking an 80/20 approach to nutrition works really well for me I’ve done it for 3 years, and I feel sexy, confident and strong And I’m proud to have taught 1000’s women how to do it too It works But only if this approach sounds good to you If not, that’s cool, there’s millions of other methods The only thing that matters is that it makes YOU feel good So I’m interested, what does fitness mean to you?
