Today is the 43rd anniversary of the release of Apocalypse Now, so we’re taking a timely look back at our book 'Apocalypse Now – The Lost Photo Archive’ featuring the private archive of set photographer Chas Gerretsen. Gerretsen was hired by Francis Ford Coppola as the still photographer for the movie, and given unprecedented access to the film’s stars, extras, crew and legendary behind-the-scenes chaos and drama. His work captures the star power of Marlon Brando, Martin Sheen and Dennis Hopper, as well as the sprawling sets and the Southeast Asian jungle.
