When the borders closed last year, The Red Centre became the number one destination on my bucket list. Thanks to @haylsa @kyle_hunter and @aweventurer, I got to tick this place off and explore the area with the best group of people and made new friends along the way! ❤️ The start of this trip wasn’t smooth sailing. On arrival at Uluru airport, we quickly learned how much of a threat Covid still is in our part of the world. I had gotten used to complacency and was surprised at the rigorous checks at the NT border. Every passenger on arrival had to provide a border declaration and bank statements to prove their whereabouts of the last 2 weeks, which took about 2 hours to process everyone on our flight. The long travel day was worth it though as I had the one of the best weeks of my life in one of the most unique places on the planet! Love you, Australia 🇦🇺
