How It Started Vs. How It Ended! I’ll try to keep this short (we can talk about it fully in person 😆) Sooo, I had been looking for a work space for YEARS, then gave up on it for a bit, but as God would have it, I casually mentioned it to one of my loyal clients during one of her hair appts. I went to inspect the place and immediately said “Nahh, I’ll pass”🤮. Went home and couldn’t stop thinking about it. I told NO ONE, but God about it then, eventually told my family & besties; prayed about it for MONTHS, and started seeing the possibility of making the space work. Then I thought, “Girl, you’re way too busy for this project...you barely have time to eat a meal a day talkless of fighting with contractors, leave this matter.” ——- Long story short, I finally signed on, but the challenges that followed were INSANE🙆🏾‍♀️😤😑 from collapsing walls, to pipes bursting to electrical issues.... I kept saying “Nneka, who sent you?” My faith, patience and sanity were tested, but I kept going. Mind you, all of this was happen while tending to in-house client, traveling to outta state/country clients, taking care of my brides, fulfilling/shipping orders, responding to calls/emails/texts/DMs, trying to be a good daughter, sister and friend annnnnd trying to have some sort of a “social life”...oh then my assistant at the moment, moved to another state with her family🤬 The stress was on 1000. —— Needless to say, we’re here now and I owe it all to GOD, CONSISTENCY, and my A1 support system. OMG dolls, we’re open for business at a new, swanky, cozy and intimate space😱😩💃🏾 Thank you to ALL our clients (old & new) that has motivated, patronized, prayed, and supported us over the years.
