Visit FairWork.BWHI.org. #Repost @janicejnice A recently published study indicates that when #BlackEmployees engaged in the act of self-promotion, they were rated less favorably than white, Hispanic and Asian employees. The reason is because self-promotion behavior goes against the “stereotype” of what Black employees are “supposed” to do. When Black employees engaged in counter-stereotypic behavior, they were penalized for it and backlash occurred.
