feeling all the love & gratitude for yesterday! the show opening for my solo exhibit CITY SHAPES at @theroyalgrocer was such a special moment for me. it was surreal to see all of my artwork that I have been creating over the last weeks (& some pieces from a few months back) on the walls so beautifully organized & hung with the support of curator @laina_joy_gallery_chicago & my beloved parents (who drove down to help paint the sides of some of the pieces & prep them all with hooks & wires) with people from my different worlds, who make up such a vibrant, caring, supportive, & fun community. im forever grateful for the opportunity to create & show my artwork to the world. im grateful, too, to those who purchased a piece or sent me affirming words or those from out of town or unavailable to join who wished me luck. the show was curated by @laina_joy_gallery_chicago who is professional, organized, kind, & fun to work with - we met three years ago when i had a piece in a show she curated. it’s an honor to fill the space with my creations!
