MAMI: To my beautiful Mom. The heart and soul of our family. Your stories, your history and your passion will forever be embedded in me. You were the first on your own accord to travel to the United States from Santa Teresa, El Salvador and start a new life in New York City at the young age of 22. Happen to fall in love with a handsome fellow with a great looking mustache ;) and later relocated to sunny Buffalo NY after marrying Dad a few years later. Your sisters and many of your brothers soon followed suit in the years after and soon our new family was born. . . You helped trail-blaze our family for generations to come and kept everyone together with an open hand when needed. You were full of fire, not afraid of repercussions from what you felt or thought. Blunt and a women of your word. You were full of compassion, and always put others in front of your own needs every... single... time... anything arose. But, Mom... what I’ll miss most will be your love. Family meant everything to you. The little ones of our family were nothing but angels to you and you an angel to them. The kids will miss you more than anything. They love you. We love you. I love you. . . To my Mother... my protector and cornerstone of our extended family.
