Happy Birthday, Elena! I can’t believe you’re already 7 — it feels like just yesterday that we decided to have you. I still remember that Sunday brunch when Jaime and I were imagining how wonderful it would be to have a baby sitting at our table. The rest is history. Since Augusto came into the picture, I know I’ve been swept up in his many milestones and haven’t given Elena the same space on here. But if you’re a parent, you probably understand how easy it is to get carried away by a newborn’s many firsts. Elena is where it all began. She was the brave idea that started our family. I was completely obsessed with her once she was born — after all, this IG account was born with her. I even created a video series called Elena and Her Sparkling Earrings, whose theme song you can see at the end of this carousel. She reminds me so much of my mom.
