Today marks my 4 year anniversary of chopping off 20 inches of hair! There are MANY things I regret in my life, but NEVER this. Although it was a spur of the moment act, fueled by rebellion, I’m so happy I did it! I come from a traditional South Asian family who had always equated a woman’s beauty with long hair, which is so untrue and frankly makes me upset. I’m not saying I’m out here fighting stigmas, but I do want to share how life changing my decision has been.
