Replying to @suzannecutler662 owning a yoga studio isn’t all hugs and ohms 🤣🤣 when I opened the yoga studio I thought it would all be everyone happy and enjoying themselves but the reality is people are afraid of going to therapy because of the stigma attached to counseling and so they practice yoga instead making it the responsibility of under trained yoga teachers who don’t learn how to work with psychological and mental health issues in yoga teacher training. But the other thing is when you become a certified yoga teacher that’s a different career than being a therapist. I actually left social work to become a yoga teacher because I don’t want to be someone’s therapist.
