This week, 3537 has the pleasure to host ́COMPUTE: Sinking Patterns', @williamapan ‘s debut solo exhibition presented by @unitlondon and exploring the materiality and texture of something that is immaterial: algorithmic code. The works recount a story from his childhood, when he first learnt how to fill a fountain pen cartridge. Mapan recalls the blue ink staining his fingertips and the sheets of paper, creating random patterns. Similar to a pen that releases more ink with pressure, the artist's influence allows for an otherwise computer-like rigidity to become more human-like.
