Delicate materials on clothes, shoes and accessories don’t go well with a chance of precipitation 🌧️ Leave your leather, suede, raffia, expensive shoes and handbags at home if it may rain, because they will get ruined otherwise. What to do instead? ✅ Plan ahead! Check the weather, feel outside if it’s 150% humid, look at the sky 😂 ✅ Wear appropriate shoes! Synthetic soles will not get ruined, but leather soles will seep through. In the summer, I also love a good pair of jellies for unexpected summer showers. Just make sure the material is matte and not too glossy. ✅ Choose your bag wisely; a small crossbody bag can fit under an umbrella while a huge tote cannot. Coated canvas bags like my trusted old LV are also perfect. Suede or raffia bags? Not so much! ✅ Have a pair of spare shoes in your car or office, so if you get caught up in unexpected rain you can swap them out. Did you find this helpful?
