This is Eric Boman photographed by Peter Schlesinger in 1981. I met Eric around 1993 or so..he was looking for a new photo assistant and I was introduced to him by @kevin_hatt Eric was a photographer that had lived a life I could have only dreamed about. Eric was one of the most top tier photographers of his generation. He was friends with the who’s who of the periods most amazing artist, designers and musicians. Eric shot the most provocative album covers for bands like Roxy Music and Duran Duran, he had countless covers and editorials for the best magazines. I assisted him when he was shooting for Vogue and Vanity Fair in the glory days of the 90’s. I met the most incredible people and traveled to the most amazing places thanks to him and he showed me a world I could have never known without him. He taught me about photography, light and color as well as architecture, design and navigating a French menu. He tutored me on how to see and view the world, in all its beauty, splendor and humor. He, besides my father was the man that made the most impression on my adult life. I owe him so much and tried so many times to tell him that. Now, that he has passed I hope I made that so very clear and though we lost track of time together he will always be a force in my life and will be missed.
