Late last year @takubeats and @prettysoon_ invited us to collaborate and produce their super ambitious immersive ‘Songs to Experience’ experience in February of this year. The concepts were to take over an old apartment building and create a number of worlds fitting the sonic environment of the tease track that was being played from his forthcoming album. First room of a massive series of posts (one post isn’t enough to cover how big this was..) “Two of Us”was a collaboration with @acid.flwrs and the theme of love at a distance. A lot of Claire’s work consists of psychedelic patterns applied to fresh orchids. A huge challenge as she is based in Sydney and the installation was over a 2 week period in Perth over lockdown where no one could enter Western Australia. The response to the brief was an intimate setting between a couple in two contrasting colour palettes where we flipped Claire’s work and apply her style to furniture which we would then ship across the country. We sourced real antiques from genuine ghost chairs to silverware and barware and a working gramophone from the turn of the century. To complete the world we had photographs of paint rendered into panels which we attached to the walls and grounded it all with white carpet down to emulate a cloud or dream state.
