The theatre in Tampa last night was one of the great experiences of this tour. It was also the last. The agent and I did 8 states in 8 days and our extraordinary publicist @arielestewart somehow, unbelievably enough, managed to keep us on the road in the right direction and make sure everything worked all the way. (In the cases where it didn't work it was honestly mostly because the agent and I forgot that we had changed time zones or got a little too excited about a bar with local beer.) The audiences were a lot bigger than we expected. Sometimes it got a little more emotional than I was prepared for. A few times I was lying on the floor in a back room wondering how the hell all of this even happened. I was told a lot of stories about grief and loss and anxiety and about how people I have never met connected to the voices in my head. It made me a little overwhelmed a couple of times, but also very, very proud. I never know what anyone expects from seeing me on a stage, but I hope I did alright and made some sense, somehow. I hope I didn't waste your time. From the bottom of my heart: Thanks everyone who came. It was really quite something. The agent and I are heading to Canada for two nights now. Then I'm going home to play Minecraft with my kids, watch movies with my wife and walk my dog in the forest for a long, long time. I'm very tired, but I hope you know I am also incredibly grateful. Take care.
