How cool does it feel to have a guest board from @carpetcompany ? Pretty damn cool, let me tell ya something. I didn’t know much about these guys until @skate.soon made the introductions. When they presented me with the idea to work on a guest board my first reaction was “Who are you guys and why the fuck me?” Even when they asked if I had any graphic ideas I just suggested some half baked Star Trek or Crispin/Danny Glover idea. I thought maybe that would throw them off. That didn’t seem to deter Ayman or Osama in the least and instead they just took took it upon themselves to come up with something cool and unique. Which they did. I don’t know if there’s a name for this little graphic dude but I like him. He looks like a little mischievous young Frank Sinatra faced, baked potato foil wearing hood demon. I guess what is really cool and what stands out about these Carpet Company guys is the amount of thought, detail and care that goes into the process, production and final product. All the way from the screen printing to the packaging you receive at home is an absurdly thoughtful experience that these guys have created and I for one, really appreciate that. Not sure when this stuff drops but be on the lookout at a finer Skate Shop near you.
