When Emma Appleton appears on Zoom, she was still trying to process a whirlwind week of back-to-back premieres, photoshoots and non-stop interviews. A natural on-screen whose juxtaposing roles in Fx’s Pistols and BBC’s Everything I Know About Love shows a duality every actor tries to express, admits in the 50th issue of Glass that her entry into acting wasn’t that straightforward. “I knew I was getting to a point where I needed something more stimulating and creative, but I didn’t know how that was going to come about,” explains Appleton when recalling back to her modelling days. “It was only when I got an audition for Dreamlands, a short film I did [in 2016] where it felt like a magnet.
