We stayed at the @vanderbiltauberge in Newport and absolutely loved it. It’s an old mansion that was converted to a hotel. The property is stunning, the service is amazing and the food and beverage options were great! Be sure to check out the rooftop for amazing views of the water. Our favorite restaurants were @clarkecookehouse @22bowens @theblackpearlrestaurant. Make sure you grab a drink at 22 Portside which is the outdoor bar of 22 Bowen’s right in Bowen’s Wharf. We also had dinner at @whitehorsetavern which is the oldest tavern in America. We ate clam chowder every single day 😂 Our top 3 favorite bowls are from the above 3 restaurants - and in that order. We also tried @redparrotrestaurant. You have to tour some of the @newport.mansions. We toured The Breakers and Marble House. Both are stunning! The Cliff Walk is also amazing - and free! I’d suggest wearing sneakers and athletic clothes for this hike. We did a sunset sail with @onwatchsailing but unfortunately it got cut short due to an incoming storm. On Watch offers private charters for up to 6 people. We also did an afternoon sail with @newportclassiccruises. It was with a larger group for an hour and a half and it was great! One night we did a haunted history tour in a 1924 Studebaker with @newportclassiccartours. It was so cool! We walked around Bowen’s Wharf and Thames Street everyday. There are lots of cute shops, restaurants and bars. My favorite store was @kieljamespatrick in Bowen’s Wharf. We did a day trip to Martha’s Vineyard. We took the ferry from Quonset Point - it’s about an hour and 45 minutes. We rented a moped to get around the island and visited Edgartown, Vineyard Haven and Old Bluffs. Edgartown was my favorite town! We also had lunch there at a really cute spot called @the.seafood.shanty with great views of the water and Chappaquiddick.
