I bet you didn’t know I photographed Jonathan Taylor Thomas and got paid zero dollars for it. Not sure if taking a snapshot on a red carpet for the premiere of Speedway Junky in August 2001 counts as “photographed” but this moment was undoubtedly the lowest point throughout my years long attempts to try to make a living with a camera. I showed up at 5 red carpet events shooting on spec for Berliner Images before realizing that it was not actually a way to make money.
