Adnan Syed, the subject of the first season of the hit podcast Serial and an HBO documentary, has just been released from prison. A judge overturned Syed’s first-degree murder conviction for the 1999 killing of Hae Min Lee after prosecutors and Syed’s lawyer filed motions questioning the integrity of the trial and evidence.
