Earlier this year, we worked with community leaders in The Bronx and Queens over a months-long process to select 15 projects to nominate for federal funding. Our office met with eligible groups to discuss possible projects and field questions, requested proposals from interested groups, and then vetted them with the appropriate congressional subcommittee to confirm eligibility. After selecting 15 projects, we brought these projects to D.C. to lobby for the support our communities deserve. Now, funding for these projects has finally passed out of the House and the Senate, and will be signed into law by President Biden!
