We've reached Canada. It's the end of the events and the author tour, but it's not been uneventful for the agent Tor. He (somewhat predictably, I'll admit) got stopped by customs at the border, because the officer asked him if he was bringing any tobacco. "Yes! Swedish snus!" The agent said excitedly, like the customs officer had asked this out of curiosity and not for legal reasons. "How much?" asked the officer. "Oh quite a lot!" the agent answered with the little happy bounce in his step that he gets when talking about snus. And it was then that the agent was told to step aside and go stand in a different line and had to explain himself to another, very serious, officer for a pretty long while. And that's why we were almost late to our first event. The agent also tried to offer the officer in question a snus to try, and even though I don't want to exaggerate the situation, I will say it was not all that far from us not being allowed into the country at all, on account of trying to bribe and/or poison an official. But anyway: We're here now! The agent has snus and beer and ketchup chips and has not yet been arrested. We're doing the very last event tonight, in Kitchener. Tonight we will eat all the desserts in Toronto and then we'll go home.
