10. SOME KIND OF HEAVEN Ohhhh boy I am finally posting my top ten movies of 2021! *A disclaimer that last year I said I would include Minari and Nomadland in this list BUT I changed my mind! But just know that I loved both of them very much and they might have even been my top 2 last year. Guess we’ll never know for sure. But THIS YEAR, at number 10, we are starting with the wonderfully weird documentary Some Kind of Heaven. A glimpse into the lives of the residents of a huge retirement community in Florida that feels as if it were directed by Wes Anderson (actually directed by Lance Oppenheim) - it’s funny and heartbreaking and entirely unexpected. Very glad @katiehenoch recommended this to me! Some Kind of Heaven is streaming on Hulu
