Niya Boyakin here! You know, the woman who started this agency. In my efforts for the people who follow my page (THANK YOU) to get to know me better, I’m going to continue to share a little more about myself and my job (behind the behind-the-scenes) from now till the end of the year. Something I’ve never done. So funny thing happened recently- we had an open call. It was great. I pulled someone aside and asked to take pictures of them. I said, “Hi. I’m Niya. Could you come with me for a second?” This person literally goes, “Whoa. Like you’re a person?!” 😂 They were so embarrassed. They thought it was only the name of the agency. I made them feel better and let them know that I’m a very private person and it actually happens all the time. 🤷🏻‍♀️ With that, yes- I’m a real person. 😂 Here’s a pic of me and my four year old Muddy today. I feel like it’s my duty as a parent to teach my children about service. We try to incorporate doing service into our daily/weekly lives. Today though, my kid did NOT like this service activity. LOL. He got to pick out and give legos to the giving tree at his preschool. He really wanted those legos and was not happy to part with them!!! I looked at my sweet little guy and we had a little discussion. I said, “You know how both mommy and daddy work? Some kids parents don’t have jobs right now. Some kids might not get any toys for Christmas. So do you think it would be nice to give those to another four year old?” Sweet Mr. Mud then handed them over and said, “And some parents don’t have cars.” 😭❤️😭❤️
