Today, June 28, marks the anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, a series of events between police and LGBTQ+ protesters which stretched over six days in 1969. That incident ignited protests around the country and was the catalyst of the modern LGBTQ+ movement. Delta Sigma Theta has championed equality, equity, and justice for ALL since our founding 109 years ago. We commemorate Pride Month and in keeping with our dedication to social action, will continue our efforts to protect the humanity and equal rights of all people.
