Because of how this subject affects me personally lately I hadn’t had the mental power to write my own thoughts for this post so: In the words of my sis @stengelsina "The phenomenon of migration is a reality that has touched many of us. From the moment of having to leave your home because the conditions to cover basic needs are non-existent, or your personal security is threatened daily, until the day you realise that 3, 5, 10 years have already passed in another country, with the same distaste of not feeling belonging. Throughout these years we have had to replace old codes and find new homes in other cities. In Barcelona, the story of Conchis motivated us to reflect on this issue, an immigrant mother who, like our parents, has had to be forced to reinvent herself in a deteriorated system with few job opportunities, where age stands out as the expiration date of any product."
