Today marks an *extremely* exciting anniversary! 😎 #OTD 10 years ago, the Hubble Extreme Deep Field image was released. Over 2,000 photos of this spot – located within the constellation Fornax – were taken over the course of a decade, then combined to create this image. About 5,500 galaxies are visible, seen in various stages of galactic evolution that span 13.2 billion years of galaxy development.
