@adam_frater: If you’re always looking up, you’ll never realize how high you’ve already climbed.
At the beginning of the year I said my resolution was discipline.
Discipline to pick up a new skill, discipline to be more focused with business, with my emotions, and with my overall lifestyle. After months of conscious effort, many of these disciplines have now become habits. They no longer feel like burdens. Now they’re natural and organic. And that’s the idea. If you can do that with all things relating to your health, you’ll be living your life to your greatest potential.
My newest disciple is focusing on my cortisol levels.
I’ll admit, where I regard myself as being in the top percentage of athletic people, I’m probably in the bottom percentile when it comes to my sleep habits. However, in the last month I’ve been sleeping better than I have for years.
A lot of the success can be attributed to @rebalancehealth which has helped me optimize my performance through the day and night. Athletes need to be mindful of this stress hormone since it’s activated through intense training and messes with the beneficial hormones we all need on a daily basis.
Mix that with some blue light blocking glasses, only using a salt lamp or low-light at night, reducing screen time before bed, and not snacking my face off before I fall asleep.😆
