Join us for our first-ever guest chef dinner on Monday, September 19! Chef Lana Lagomarsini will take over our Edna Lewis private dining room for a Revival Week-inspired feast, celebrating late summer’s bounty over shared platters, great cocktails and wine (swipe ← to preview her menu!) benefitting the Edna Lewis Foundation. Tickets are now available on Resy via link in bio, and include a reception filled with abundant grazing tables + Revival Punch—our welcome cocktail featuring @campariusa and @grandmarnierusa—followed by a three-course family-style feast. Don’t miss out on our bespoke beverage pairing which includes two glasses of wine and @longbranchbourbon Old Fashioned—Miss Edna loved a good glass of bourbon! Chef Lana Lagomarsini comes from a fine-dining background, and cooked her way through some of the best kitchens in the city—including Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Gramercy Tavern, Daniel, and Momofuku Ko—before branching out to launch her own private catering business, Lana Cooks, in 2020. "An Ode to Edna" is Chef Lana's latest event in a series of pop-ups focused on spotlighting and exploring the Black Food Movement, past and present. Chef Lana is deeply influenced by Miss Edna's contributions to American cuisine, as a pioneer of hyper-seasonal, "farm-to-table" dining long before it was ever fashionable. Miss Edna was the Chef at Gage & Tollner from 1988-1992, and is credited with singlehandedly breathing new life into the restaurant when it was starting to decline. She drew packed crowds nightly for her beautiful food, simply but perfectly prepared. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to the Edna Lewis Foundation, furthering their mission to honor and extend the legacy of Edna Lewis by creating opportunities for African Americans in the fields of cooking, agriculture, food studies, and storytelling.
