⭐️SELF CARE JOURNAL BRAIN DUMP⭐️ (Left photo) January 2022 - the height of my partnerships with skincare brands vs. October 2022. LOOK @ THE EYES. I am a lic. estie but first, I was a content creator. Last year I had the opportunity to take on paid work in a more full time capacity (yay!) yet even after years of skin education, becoming an esthetician, learning the ins + outs of my skin VERY well.... all I will say is that was my skin on the left during all of this, toggling so many products to meet campaign deadlines vs. the right (4 months after) using professional skincare, treatments + a few of my favorite OTC brands as well. I am not demonizing OTC brands. I love them but I have seen my skin become proof that the right professional products + routine DO deliver faster, more efficient results with less chance of barrier damage. I left the agency I was with in April + decided to stop all partnerships temporarily, to focus on my business/education + was so honored that Dakotah felt I was the right person to come work with her at her + Brandon’s business’. The last few months have been very taxing. I couldn’t keep up. I still was working 3 jobs until October (many of us do this starting this career!!) but I didn’t pass my masters. I play it cool but this gutted me deep down. I felt dumb. I’ve felt torn on where to spend my time, what’s most important + add my ADHD to that - it all felt a mess. As I develop my business, content creation has become increasingly more confusing for me. Something I started as a pure outlet + love of skin has unfolded into a whole ass career. Unfortunately, my love for testing skincare has been tainted a lot due to a lot of factors which is why I have stopped (almost) all partnerships/no longer accepting new ones unless it makes sense for ME and MY COMMUNITY! It’s a privilege I am able to do this. I have worked very hard. I am in a pivotal moment again in my career. I am working to better everything I do relating to content to make ME happy + provide content that not only helps you with your skin but inspires you to be your best self. I am so excited for what’s to come🧡
