There were days on my healing journey I didn’t think I’d make it to the other side - the pain, the fear, the future of unknowns - felt incapacitating. There were many moments of despair and sessions of sobbing that came from the deepest places within my heart and soul. Questions as to whether I would be here to watch my children grow or get to grow old beside my husband. My healing journey is nowhere near over, and navigating a journey of cancer is something I will deal with my entire life, but in a way, I’ve very much made it to the other side. I’ve come out at a clearing, an open space, a place where I can breathe and laugh and dream again. So if you’re in it right now, if you’re going through hell, keep on going, my friend.
