Our Friendsmas book drive last Saturday at Eaton House was a huge success. Hosted by DC-based nonprofit We Need More Thinkers, Friendsmas is more than just an annual holiday gathering - it builds community and supports children and young adults in need. A portion of ticket proceeds went to supporting an HBCU student’s remaining balance for the semester, and donated children’s books went to children of incarcerated parents, foster homes, and DCPS schools in Ward 5, 7 & 8. WNMT has collected over 1,000 books so far.
