Infinite Archives is excited to announce a collaboration with En Iwamura. This collaboration is brought about by the special friendship of Founder, Easy Otabor and Artist, En Iwamura. En Iwamura’s work focuses on the experience one has with his different artworks and the space they inhabit. When describing his work, En refers to the Japanese philosophy "Ma" which roughly translates to "negative space". When creating this, the focal point was how the piece would interact with the space it was displayed in. Its many functions allow it to take on new perspectives from every viewer. The potential use of these pieces are unlimited, from a cigar or incense holder to a vase for plants or flowers. 1988 is the year of acknowledgement for IA which made for an easy marriage on this project. “Born in 1988” is based on the work En has made for an exhibition at Anthony Gallery and “1988 Graffiti Boy” is based on the idea of smoke and graffiti culture back in 1988.
