✨ 56 days of joy - summer 2022✨ I got back from Paris in July and my life shifted forever. I brought my mother to the hospital for what we thought would be a routine bronchoscopy and she never wound up leaving. I was at the hospital with her for 56 days. And though this summer was one of the hardest I’ve ever been through, this time with my mother in her final days was so full of LIFE. I’d do it all again in a heart beat. The highs, the lows, the tender moments of hope and perseverance. The laughs. God the laughter that got us through. I am so full of gratitude that we had that time and space together. That I got to bring her her favorite foods and get her pedicures and massage and hold her hand to the very end (or at least to the start of whatever new journey is ahead). She hated being on camera, especially in the hospital, but here are some of the sweetest moments from this past summer. The days that made it easier to get through, to push on. Despite all the sadness, there too was plenty joy.
