So this is the second year @thatdakotajones asked me to be a 'mentor' for @footprintsrunning, a running camp focused on creating solutions to the climate crisis based on individual 'mentee' passions. In reality, we are all mentees because we all learn so much from each other. I can say that for two years in a row, I've been so privileged to call @thatdakotajones a friend and to call Footprints a source of immense inspiration and thought-provoking time outside with people who want to make a difference! I can't thank Dakota and @natebender10 for putting together such an impactful camp that will leave us better than we were, regardless of the outcomes of our projects. I also can't thank enough the other mentors and campers for diving in and being vulnerable about our pasts, what drives us, where we want to go, and where we want to see our respective communities move. I think @sacredstoke said it well that those who are focused on the end goal are less likely to reach it compared to those focused on the journey. From this camp I hope I'm closer to enjoying the journey and understanding my role in the world around me, connecting with the elements and the people that make so much in life possible.
