I’m so proud to be a part of the @saveourwater campaign! #SaveOurWater #CaWater #ad Now, more than ever, it’s crucial that we work together for our children, grandchildren, and future generations. Be sure to save these 10 easy tips you can use to conserve water! 1. Recycling indoor water to irrigate your garden can cut water use by 30%. 2. Using drought-resistant plants and trees can save 30–60 gallons per 1000 sq. ft. each time you water. 3. If you need to wash your car, take it to a car wash – car washes use up to 65% less water and most use recycled water. 4. Using mulch can save 20–30 gallons of water per 1000 sq. ft. each time you water. 5. Set a timer while watering plants by hand and use a hose with a shut-off nozzle. 6. Let your lawn go brown. 7. Using a broom to clean sidewalks, instead of hosing down, can save 6 gallons per minute 8. Checking frequently for leaks and fixing them right away - a leaky toilet can waste up to 200 gallons of water per day while a leaky sprinkler can waste more than 2 bathtubs of water per day. 9. Use full loads of dishes and clothes. Dishwashers save 5-15 gallons per load while washers save 15-45 gallons per load. 10. Replace your lawn with California native plants. They require little or no water and even starting with a section of lawn can make a big difference! . . . . . #howto #watersavingtips #watersaving #kitchenhacks #momanddaughter #recycledwater #moneysavingtips #lifehacks #reels #reelsinstagram #viralreels #kitchenideas #homeandliving #homehacks #viraltiktok #budgeting
