With any fine aged spirit, one of the best ways to discover its subtleties is by mixing it with soda water in a highball 🥃. The little bubbles of carbonation lift flavor molecules to the surface of the cocktail, some of which may not be as apparent when tasting a rum on its own, or with water. Of course, with a cocktail that’s so simple, the devil is in the details.
