If there’s one thing I’ll adamantly insist you do.. it’s travel solo. And if you’re not ready for that, I really would urge you to practice spending time on your own. I loveeeeee a solo trip. Actually, taking solo trips was a way to compromise with my anxiety in the beginning of me learning to travel at all. For some reason, being on my own gave me a sense of calm. And now I really think there’s strength in learning to be able to pass time solo. To take yourself out for a meal, a trip to the museum.. anything. There’s power in learning to be content with your own company. So when we got back to Rome after our day trip to Pompeii & Positano, I knew I had unfinished business in Rome. We were flying out the next day, and I couldn’t leave in peace knowing I didn’t get some photos I wanted. Taking a nighttime solo stroll was a no brainer.. it was cold and late, and I wasn’t gonna force Grandma to make the day even longer, lol. The eternal city at night.. my whole heart. I left it in Rome! What a gorgeous night. So funny, I was hesitant taking winter trip.. I thought an earlier sunset meant traveling and sightseeing in the dark and I wasn’t sure that was a compromise I was willing to make. I didn’t want to miss out on the iconic views! But my oh MY! What an experience, and entirely new level of beautiful. Here are some photos of my nighttime stroll, one of the best moments of the trip. Time to connect with the city around me, and try to let it sink in that I made it- to ROME! 🇮🇹 #travellovers #solotravel #wanderlusttravel #rome #nighttimetravel #eternalcity #romeitaly #travelinspired #travellove
