One of the best things that happened after I fell, hard & badly, skiing in February 2020 is that I learned how important warmups are. Like, I always knew they were, ofc, but I confess I thought I’d be okay skipping? (Kinda thought I was invincible tbh. I am not.) During my painful sacrum/core rehab months, I finally got the message. (Thank ya @dangiordanodpt!!) No excuses, literally now would never ever think about running or kettlebelling or anything-ing without some strategic dynamic moves beforehand. And the silver linings of this lesson have been pretty magical. 💫 I’m way more locked into my workouts (physically, mentally, even emotionally), my body feels better during and after a sweat, and I know I’m doing everything I can to prevent injury.
