I started to notice our large Fig (Ficus carica ‘Kadota’) is losing its giant leaves this week and it made me more aware of all the other trees around the city that are doing the same- even the hyper tropical Plumeria on the right side of the frame.
Growing up my mom once pointed out that she didn’t like deciduous trees and at some point I picked that up. Lately though, over the last few years, I’ve become really appreciative of the way leaves drop and the seasonality of plants. They remind me to stay present and to both acknowledge and appreciate change, especially when it’s beyond my control.
Anyway, we’re here in the space, graciously accepting change and flowing with it. We have an amazing variety of plants and inanimate goods and in my opinion the espresso is always stellar. We’re open tonight until 9:30 for First Friday and all weekend normal hours as always.
