Being anti racist isn’t just skimming past my identity as a woman of colour and ignoring your privilege. It’s taking the time to understand the roots and history of racism, ensuring your actions and your vocabulary are equally matched as your intentions. It’s making space, giving up the floor, and actively learning to do better. No matter how much of an ally you are, to any marginalised community really, you can ALWAYS learn more and do better. I always say, “people with good intentions are always open to better ones”. And most importantly, listen!
