The Contemporary Hebrew word táchlis/תּכלס is a loanword from Yiddish word tákhles/תּכלית (pronounced the same way, I just used used the prevailing romanization styles for both words) which is a loanword from the Hebrew תּכלית (which is pronounced by contemporary Hebrew speakers as tachlít) so now Contemporary Hebrew speakers have both táchlis/תּכלס and tachlít/תּכלית In this caption, the accent marks and ת/תּ distinction is provided to aid the reader in pronunciation.
