A few months ago my life changed in a matter of seconds. I suffered a spinal cord injury that leaves most paralyzed below the shoulders, although I’ve been blessed enough to gain movement and sensation below my level of injury. Never do you think that one day you will wake up depending on a machine to breathe. Most will see this as a crazy set back in life, where I see this as an opportunity to grow stronger and become closer with God. This injury has taught me to be thankful for the little things in life and to never give up even when things seem like they’re never going your way. I’m so thankful for everybody who has supported me through crazy journey, your support pushes me everyday to become better.
