Rolling into the spookiest weekend of the year with some more creepy concoctions! When crafting some petrifying Halloween sips there is nothing I love more than dry ice. It’s SO fun to work with. At the same time, it’s the most tedious and annoying prop that I ever have to source. All the ice distributors are run by the crankiest people ever, and for some reason there is ALWAYS a dry ice shortage. I need to start shooting Halloween cocktails in April.
Anyway, if YOU can find some dry ice, it’s a perfect way to freaky up your Tiki, or whatever other type of drink you’ll be sipping on this most horrible of holidays! Just be sure to only use a small piece, and take care not to swallow the dry ice. Also, you won’t even need to pre-chill your cocktail, as dry ice will take care of that for you, and also changes from solid to gas much more vigorously in a warm liquid. Without further ado, here’s another frightening libation for you!
Sangre Margarita
2 oz Blue Lava Tequila (@bluelavatequila)
1 oz Triple Sec
1.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
.5 oz Agave Nectar
1 oz Red Wine
Combine all ingredients except wine in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until well chilled. Strain into a coupe glass. Gently layer red wine onto top of cocktail using a bar spoon. Garnish with dehydrated lime wheel. Optional - add a small piece of dry ice for a spooky effect!
Now who’s ready to see my Halloween costume? No one has guessed it yet! 🙀 #bar #drinks #drink #cocktails #cocktail #quarantine #quarantini #barquarantine #cocktailoftheday #bartender #mixologist #mixology #drinkoftheday #homebarawards #cocktailrecipe #cocktailhour #cocktailporn #cocktailtime #cocktailsofinstagram #cocktailgram #cocktailart #drinkstagram #drinkporn #bestcocktails #cocktailporn
