Back in June 2022 the newly appointed King Charles III met with physician, researcher and president & founder of the nonprofit Preventive Medicine Research Dean Ornish MD at the Royal residence Highgrove House in the UK. In 2011, Charles attended a conference in Washington, stating: “For every pound of beef produced in the industrial system, it takes two thousand gallons of water. “That is a lot of water and there is plenty of evidence that the Earth cannot keep up with the demand.” More recently in 2021, he stated: "I’ve always felt that we are overexploiting and damaging nature by not understanding how much we depend on everything that nature provides".
