Paterfamilias "Paterfamilias" is an investigative project exploring the theme of oppression in the domestic sphere, bringing to the surface the consequences of deteriorated relationships in male dominated households. The project's narrative evoks persistant witness memories in all their rawness, the sentiments/resentments of this experience, functioning to raise awareness of and discuss a deviant cultural aspect which still mortifies the dignity of women. The images are wrapped in a form of surrealism that increases and makes tangible the sense of frustration, and the tension of an unsafe shelter, describing a social phenomenon apparently silent but of a disruptive force.
