By making these 3 adjustments to my technique I immedately improved my twistout results and began consistently getting beautiful results! 1. Equal Twist Tension: Starting from the root I like to add slight tension to each section to help smooth out the hair and create tight uniform twist. Tip: it may help to three strand braid the root and twist the remaining section 2. Product Comb Through: Combing the product through with a wide tooth comb or detangling brush gives each section equal hold & moisture. 3. Twist Without "Borrowing": borrowing refers to sharing strands of hair from one section to the other to complete a twist. The best way to avoid doing this is to split each section evenly into two before twisting. this is especially beneficial when taking down your twist because it helps you avoid frizz and tangles.
