18 things learned in 18 years:
1. People might not keep promises but you should. Integrity
2. The universe is petty, what you say won’t happen, WILL happen, what you don’t like, you end up being drawn to it. Be neutral.
3. Sometimes caring feels more liberating than not caring.
4. No one owes you anything the same way you don’t owe anyone anything.
5. If you see everything as black and white, you’re still missing part of the spectrum.
6. Success really does begin with making your bed in the morning.
7. People who block/walk slow in busy hallways are fucking stupid and are at the bottom of the food chain. 🤷🏻♀️
8. “nO rEGreTs” no. You will have them, but as long as you learn from them you can get past it.
9. Life isn’t fair, but it also is.
10. No one deserves the good or the bad because everything is a result of a chain reaction.
11. Good and bad is so subjective but as long as you do your own thing with no intentions of hurting anything or anybody I’d say you’re still doing better than the next person.
12. I have accepted I’ll never be able to cut sugar out from my diet, my body is 90% made of cake.
13. Sometimes what people see in you is a reflection of themselves.
14. When your mom says bring a jacket. Bring a jacket.
15. It’s our responsibility to eliminate the bad parts of culture that affect generations for years.
16. Don’t take yourself so seriously, nothing matters in the grand scheme anyway.
17. When you break off friendships, keep the respect to at least cherish the memories you did have.
18. Never apply the same lesson to everything.
{edit 2022, now 21} I can happily say I stayed the same despite the various plots the universe had in store for me. Still live by these & more.
