If you want to become a full-time yoga teacher, the first thing you’re going to do is sign up for yoga teacher training. You will learn how to teach yoga in the best yoga teacher training. You can take an online yoga teacher, training or an online yoga certification or you can go to an in person yoga teacher training. You start with your 200 hour yoga teacher training. Then you could choose to do a 300 yoga teacher training, which would make you a 500 hour certified Yoga instructor. I am registered with Yoga Alliance and well. I am not a huge fan of them. They are basically the only game in town and I would recommend looking for a Yoga Alliance certified school. There are a lot of ways to make money as a certified yoga teacher. in my videos I talk about how you can make money as a yoga teacher and creative places to make money as a yoga teacher, where I’ve worked in the past and places some of my clients have worked out as yoga teachers. Many people are going to tell you that it’s easy to make money as a yoga teacher and that is not true. Teaching yoga is a very competitive industry and you are going to work very hard to become someone who makes a living as a yoga teacher. If you just wanna work part time as a yoga instructor it will be a lot easier on you. There’s nothing wrong with trying to be full-time teaching yoga, or being a part-time yoga teacher. Try not to put labels on yourself and try not to be too hard on yourself if you struggle as a yoga teacher. If I could share one yoga teacher tip, it would be that you must believe in yourself to be a successful yoga teacher, and you have to practice teaching yoga as much as you possibly can.
