AIR-DRYING IN 2.5 HRS 🌬
So there were a lot of things in this routine that I did differently to make the air dry faster. Typically it takes be around 5+ hours to air dry and my roots would still be damp 🥲 but making these changes helped me cut down the dry time in half!!
Of course, the final look doesn’t have as much definition, this definitely gives off a beach babe vibe but that’s what I’ve been going for all the time especially being in FL
What I did and Why I did it ⬇️⬇️
✨ Styling on damp hair, which is an obvious thing that will speed up air dry time. If you know me by now, I always prefer styling on soaking wet hair to get better curl clumps but if you find that your hair is getting stringy, only rewet the ends sparingly and where it’s needed (not the roots! or all over)
✨No more scrunching like a mad woman! the less water your hair has the easier it will get frizzy so just gently cup it to encourage the scrunch
✨ Micro-plopping (squeezing with a microfiber towel) to remove excess water. A few strong squeezes is all you need, remember no squeezing like a mad woman. keyword = gentle
✨ Using HAIRSPRAY as your hold product (vs gel). Hairspray is lightweight anddddd drying. The drying factor could be a good or bad thing depending on how damaged or dry your hair is but in this case it definitely helps speed up the air-dry time
Will this last as long? probably not..
Will it get fluffier throughout the day? probably
Hair is nowhere ever near perfect and if you want to air dry quickly, there’s a trade off with other things and I’m totally okay with that 🙂
